A well-established mining operation in Far North Queensland is currently seeking experienced Production Excavator Operators to join their team. This site offers a consistent and balanced roster, contributing to a stable and supportive work environment.

Your new role

You will be responsible for operating production excavators in an open-cut mining environment. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork. The roster is 7 days on, 7 days off, rotating between day and night shifts. This is a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) position, and candidates must be based in the Mareeba or Mossman region, as accommodation and meals are not provided.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Previous mining experience in a production environment
  • Demonstrated experience operating excavators with relevant RII tickets
  • A strong safety focus and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Reliable transport and ability to DIDO from the Mareeba/Mossman area
  • Flexibility to work both day and night shifts on a 7/7 roster
