The Business Development Manager will manage key accounts and drive new business across Queensland and New South Wales, providing technical solutions to customers in the mining, agriculture, and toolmaking sectors. The role combines hands-on engineering knowledge with commercial sales expertise, working closely with manufacturers and OEMs to deliver precision tooling and materials solutions that enhance performance and efficiency.

Description

  • Manage and grow sales across Queensland and New South Wales within mining, agriculture, and toolmaking sectors.

  • Provide technical support and engineering solutions to OEMs, fabricators, and manufacturers.

  • Conduct customer visits (4-5 per week) to identify opportunities, troubleshoot designs, and deliver value-added solutions.

  • Collaborate with global engineering and product teams to align customer needs with product design and performance.

  • Take ownership of project lifecycles, from technical consultation to commercial delivery and ongoing account management.

Profile

  • 6--12 years of experience in sales or technical sales engineering, ideally within precision tooling, carbide, or materials manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical or materials engineering background with the ability to interpret technical drawings and discuss design improvements.
  • Proven track record of building long-term relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, and industrial clients.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously within a fast-growing, global organization.
  • Commercially astute problem solver with strong communication and presentation skills.
