The Royce, a newly renovated luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Melbourne adjacent to the breathtaking Botanical Gardens and charming South Yarra, is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our team and help elevate our offerings in Showroom Bar.

As a key member of the brigade, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring smooth service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to our high standards
  • Manage a designated kitchen section efficiently
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control meet our guidelines
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with food regulations
  • Assist in menu planning and development
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to improve kitchen operations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef
  • Passion for food and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
