Your Role

As the Sales Administrator, you will support the Sales & Events team with administration and reactive sales. Your role will ensure smooth daily operations, timely client responses and seamless event delivery. This is a part-time position for now, with strong potential to progress into a full-time role as Dorsett Melbourne continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Sales & Events team.
  • Manage and respond to reactive sales inquiries (calls, emails, walk-ins).
  • Assist in preparing proposals, contracts, and event orders with accuracy.
  • Maintain client databases, sales reports, and filing systems.
  • Support coordination of events, liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Track sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, delivering excellent service at every stage of the sales process.

What We're Looking For

  • University graduate (or currently studying) in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera, Delphi or similar hotel systems is an advantage (training provided).
  • Previous experience in hospitality, administration or customer service preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • A proactive team player with a can-do attitude, confidence and willingness to step up when needed.
  • Quick learner, adaptable and able to pick up new systems and processes with ease.
  • A positive outlook with a strong customer-first mindset.
