The Opportunity

Are you passionate about modern agriculture and love working with cutting-edge machinery? Our South Australian Farming Operations are expanding, and we're looking for a Full-time Broadacre Operator to join our broadacre team in the beautiful Riverland Region. You'll be hands-on with seeding, spraying, harvesting, and paddock preparation, while also ensuring the maintenance and daily care of modern agricultural machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a range of broadacre machinery, including John Deere tractors, sprayers, and harvesters.
  • Perform paddock preparation, planting/seeding, spraying, and harvesting tasks to high standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on farm equipment.
  • Utilise precision agriculture technologies, including GPS guidance and in-cab software systems.
  • Maintain strong Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Work collaboratively within a small team, contributing to planning, reviews, and training sessions.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in broadacre cropping operations and operation of large-scale machinery.
  • Proficiency with John Deere machinery and GPS guidance systems.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new technology.
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and professional development.
  • Effective communication skills – verbal, written, and digital.
  • Current Driver's Licence and HC Licence (essential).
  • Chemical Handler's Certificate and/or Forklift Licence (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
