About the role

Privately owned, Bibra Lake based, boutique logistics company require the services of an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the seamless flow of goods across international borders and aligning with all regulatory requirements. As a Customs Broker, you will play a vital part in the company's Customs import operations, working closely with clients to navigate the complexities of customs procedures.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and lodging accurate customs declarations and documentation in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Liaising with customs authorities, DAFF, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to resolve any customs and DAFF related issues
  • Providing expert guidance and advice to clients on customs regulations, tariff classification, and duty requirements
  • Maintaining detailed records and ensuring all necessary documentation is properly filed and accessible
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in customs laws, regulations, and policies to ensure the company's compliance
  • Collaborating with the broader logistics team to optimize customs clearance processes and improve efficiency

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Customs Broker with DAFF accreditation.
  • Thorough understanding of customs laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice to clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex customs requirements
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work
