Assistant Centre Director (2IC) – Childcare Centre, Castle Hill

We are working with a leading childcare provider in NSW who is seeking a passionate and experienced 2IC (Assistant Centre Director) to support the daily operations of their centre located in Castle Hill. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership position within a high-quality service that values its educators, families, and community.

About the RoleAs the 2IC, you will work closely with the Centre Director to ensure the smooth running of the service, maintain compliance with regulations, and foster a positive and engaging environment for children and educators. You will step into the Centre Director's role during their absence, taking ownership of the day-to-day operations, and supporting staff in delivering high-quality care and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Centre Director in overseeing daily operations of the centre.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Assist with staff management, including mentoring and supporting educators to achieve their professional best.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with families, children, and the wider community.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the centre's programs and practices.
  • Manage rostering, administration tasks, and centre documentation as required.
  • Lead and inspire a team culture that promotes collaboration and professional growth.

About You

  • Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
  • Current Working With Children Check, First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of NQF and EYLF.
  • Proven leadership or 2IC/Room Leader experience within the early childhood sector.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for providing high-quality education and care to children.
