This position is responsible for providing a high-quality physiotherapy service to all inpatient areas of Darwin Private Hospital.

As a Physiotherapist your responsibilities will include:
- Assessment and treatment of patients where clinically indicated in collaboration with patients/families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes
- Providing a high standard of clinical care to individuals/patients in our hospital
Darwin Private Hospital is the only provider of private hospital services in the Northern Territory. As part of the Healthscope Group of Hospitals, it is a licenced 122 bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery including, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology and ENT and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. In February 2021, a purpose built 18 bed inpatient Mental Health & AoD Unit, The Darwin Clinic, opened a new service for patients in the Northern Territory. It also incorporates a dedicated Day Rehabilitation Program.
Our world-class private hospital attracts patients from across the greater Northern Territory, Western Australia, remote aboriginal communities and even offshore. We are co-located with Royal Darwin Hospital and partner in delivering specialised care to patients from across the top end of Australia.

Selection Criteria:
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Current AHPRA registration before commencement
- Customer focused service delivery
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete allocated tasks (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
- Commitment to participation in professional development, quality improvement activities and workplace education.
