Kumo Brewhouse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior barista who has a genuine passion for specialty coffee and hospitality to join our team for our upcoming new cafe.

Your day-to-day:

  • Lead the coffee program, ensuring consistency, quality, and speed of service.
  • Prepare espresso, filter, and specialty beverages with skill and precision.
  • Maintain equipment, calibrations, and cleanliness to professional standards.
  • Train, coach, and support junior team members
  • Engage warmly with guests, providing genuine and attentive service.
  • Assist with inventory management

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a senior or lead barista in a high-volume or specialty coffee venue.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with specialty coffee
  • Deep knowledge of coffee — from extraction and milk texturing to bean profiles and brew ratios.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a small team.
  • Pride in presentation, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • The ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
