More flexibility, less one-size-fits-all
Work that makes a difference. Australians depend on our systems being secure, efficient and highly resilient. Experience the capability-building opportunity to work with Australia's most critical payments platforms.
The RBA's unique position as Australia's central bank means that you will gain exposure to an exciting and fast-paced environment, with opportunities to apply your security expertise to new and diverse problems affecting the entire country.
We are looking for a Vulnerability Management Analyst to join our posture management team. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering capabilities for continuous assurance such as implementing and maintaining CIS benchmark scans in our vulnerability management tool
- Triaging vulnerabilities that have been identified from a variety of sources
- Tracking remediation efforts by other IT teams
- Managing the tools used by the posture management team
- Helping to shape and inform the strategic direction of the posture management team
Your team
You will sit within the Bank's IT Security Services section, Vulnerability Posture Management team. There is a strong culture for collaboration, innovation, and celebrating personal successes. The team is constantly looking to improve and welcomes fresh perspectives and ideas.
Your background
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about cyber security and technology and enjoys sharing that passion with others. Previous experience in vulnerability management is highly desirable. Alternatively experience in other IT Security functions coupled with a good working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure will be considered.
To be successful in this critical role you will possess:
- Experience working in an IT Security team, ideally within a position exposed to vulnerability/posture management
- Knowledge of threat actor behaviour and tradecraft, the attack lifecycle, and general cybersecurity topics
- A broad understanding of principles in networking, infrastructure, and operating systems
- Experience using a vulnerability scanner such as Nessus or Qualys
- Experience in CIS benchmarking
- Experience in cloud security
- A drive to continually improve processes
The successful candidate will also be required to undertake a Baseline Security clearance.
Your development and career
Working for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the Australian people, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports people's growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility. The team values continuous education and there will be opportunities for paid training as well as personal research time.
