Regional Support Office Manager – Aerospace (Sydney)

Our retained client is a leading global aerospace organisation known for producing and supporting regional and special-mission aircraft. They provide comprehensive aftermarket and customer support services to operators worldwide.

Overview of the Job

The Regional Support Office Manager leads the organisation's customer support operations across Oceania and the wider APAC region. This role acts as the local face of the business, overseeing a small team and ensuring exceptional service delivery, customer satisfaction, and regional coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the regional support office, managing a mix of senior direct and matrix reports.
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing representative for the region, handling escalations and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate closely with global Engineering, Aftermarket, and Sales teams to ensure consistent and responsive support.
  • Drive regional aftermarket initiatives, identifying local service solutions and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Manage office administration, including vendor coordination and operational cost oversight.
  • Support customer engagements, operator visits, and regional industry events.
  • Provide insights to help shape regional strategy based on customer needs and market trends.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Aerospace, aviation, MRO, or aircraft maintenance industry experience is essential.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical, customer support, or service teams.
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Solid understanding of aircraft operations, maintenance environments, or aftermarket support structures.
  • Ability to navigate complex organisational structures and manage strong personalities effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience collaborating with global or matrixed teams is an advantage.

Other Relevant Information

  • Regular regional travel required across Oceania and APAC, with occasional travel for onboarding and collaboration.
  • This is an office-based role located in Mascot, Sydney.
