About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic energetic individual with a strong customer focus to fill the role of a Theatre Assistant at Ramsay Surgical Centre Miranda . As a Theatre Assistant, you will be working in the theatre department

While experience is not necessary in this role, an interest in patient care is essential to succeed in this role. You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Willingness to learn and to be trained as a hospital orderly.

Responsibilities Include
Transporting patients to and from OT to recovery,

Assisting nurses to prepare and position patients for procedures.

Assisting nurses to clean and change over procedure room between cases.

Infection control practices and clinical waste management essential.

Knowledge of Manual Handling practices and more

Stock management (collection and distribution of stock throughout department) and more

About You
An interest in patient care is essential to succeed in this role. You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.

You will also bring:

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Theatre Assistant or similar role (desirable)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently.
• Excellent patient and customer service focus
• Be available for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.
