Lakeview Private Hospital (LPH) is an established multidisciplinary private hospital located at Bella Vista, Sydney. LPH seeks to employ staff members with a passion for healthcare and a deep commitment to the philosophy of Patients First. With views overlooking Norwest Lake, LPH offers a tranquil atmosphere with large operating theatres and outstanding rehabilitation facilities.

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to on a permanent part time basis with a minimum of 24 hours per week guaranteed.

Hours of work

  • 24 hours per week
  • Rotating roster, either morning or afternoon shift
  • Monday to Sunday - 3 shifts per week, more where required

The job can be physically demanding so candidates need to be physically fit and able to lift or move within current WH&S Standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform efficient and effective delivery of food services in a patient-centred care environment as a member of the catering team
  • Completes a wide range of tasks including basic food preparation, set up and service of patient food trays, service of beverages hot & cold, and assisting in cleaning work areas including dishwashing
  • Must follow prescribed food safety protocols, which includes safe storage, preparation and service of foods, completing associated food safety documentation and reporting issues to management

CRITERIA

  • Preferred minimum of 2 years' experience in a catering role, with experience in Hospital or Aged Care highly regarded
  • Food preparation and handling experience
  • Competent in hospitality and customer service
  • Can work unsupervised at times as well as be part of a team
