Be a Part of The Scoop's Team – Volunteer Performing Arts Writers Wanted

Are you a passionate film and theatre enthusiast with a flair for writing? Do you have proven experience in reviews writing in the arts? We're on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteer contributing writers based in either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth to join our busy team at The Scoop.

As a volunteer contributing writer for The Scoop, you'll have the opportunity to attend various theatre productions, media calls, and special events, all while honing your skills and building your portfolio. You'll get to interview inspiring artists and share your love for the performing arts with our growing community of readers.

We're searching for talented individuals who are eager to expand their experience in the industry and establish further connections within the performing arts world. If you have a knack for writing and a passion for film and/or theatre, we'd love to hear from you

Excellent written skills and quick responses to communication are essential.

As a volunteer contributing writer, you'll be an essential part of our team, creating engaging content and helping us continue to showcase the incredible stories that make the performing arts so special.

While these positions are unpaid, the experience, exposure, and networking opportunities will benefit those who love the arts and want to contribute to the growth of the industry.

Anyone interested in contributing to The Scoop as a volunteer writer can expect:

  1. Two tickets to major performing arts shows being reviewed

  2. Exposure to key companies in the performing arts scene

  3. Attending the occasional Media Call to gain promotional footage and interviews for big musicals
