Superbly located in Broadbeach, The Lucky Squire is the perfect place for dinner, a fun night out, a special function or a casual catch up over lunch. It is Gold Coast's first James Squire Brewhouse and is a place where you can get acquainted with the brewing process, explore the beer range or enjoy a few wonderful dishes cooked by our chefs in our wood fired kitchen.
Our food is cooked with sustainability and quality of produce in mind. We source the highest-quality, freshest ingredients from local suppliers, to produce exceptional restaurant meals cooked over wood fire. About the Roles:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef, to join our dynamic team at a celebrated modern gastropub and cocktail bar. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities (Depending on Role)
Take ownership of kitchen operations from prep to plating and everything in between. Co-create and execute menus that celebrate bold fusion Lead, train, and inspire your kitchen team as we grow. Ensure high standards in food quality, presentation, and efficiency. Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control in alignment with business goals. Collaborate with ownership and FOH to deliver seamless guest experiences.
Showcasing a proven track record of leading by example, and a passion to deliver quality food consistently, the right Chef will:
- Lead, guide and inspire a team of professionals to deliver an exceptional guest experience and further develop the business.
- Be passionate about what you do, innovative and experienced.
- Deliver high quality dishes, consistently well, in a fast-paced, busy environment.
- Work fast, clean and able to motivate the team through leading by example.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, with support from the Central Kitchen facility.
- Demonstrate solid organisation skills, strong ability to follow and implement systems and ability to manage a team
