 About the Role

Bondi Records is looking for a hands-on, music-loving Junior Retail & Ecommerce Assistant
to support both our in-store and online operations. You'll be based in our Bondi Junction shop and play a key role behind the scenes — helping us keep the website fresh, products updated, stock flowing, and our customers happy.

If you're organised, detail-focused, and interested in how ecommerce meets real-life retail, this is a great entry point into the music and online retail world.

 What You'll Be Doing Product Uploads & Website Maintenance

  • Add new vinyl releases, turntables, and accessories to Shopify (titles, descriptions, images, tags)
  • Update pricing, availability, and product info as needed
  • Assist with curating homepage features, collections, and search tags
  • Resize and upload images using Canva or basic tools

 Purchase Orders & Supplier Coordination

  • Create and update purchase orders in Shopify
  • Help manage restock calendars and release schedules
  • Follow up with suppliers on ETAs, backorders, and invoice requests
  • Support the Retail Ops Manager in preparing for big drops, exclusive pressings, and sale events

 Inventory & Store Support

  • Assist with stocktakes, reconciling deliveries, and product labeling
  • Ensure new arrivals are correctly displayed and live on the site
  • Flag stock discrepancies, broken links, or product issues for the team
  • Keep shelves, bins, and backend systems tidy and accurate

 Customer Experience

  • Answer emails, chat messages or in person
  • Help customers in-store if team members are busy
  • Support the team with customer alerts for restocks or order follow-ups

About You

  • You're reliable, organised, and good at following processes
  • You have strong attention to detail and enjoy keeping things neat and up to date
  • You're confident using Google Sheets, email, and digital tools like Canva or Shopify (or willing to learn fast)
  • You're happy to ask questions, take direction, and chip in wherever needed
  • You have a love of music and want to be part of a team that values curation, community, and great vibes
