Specsavers Bega is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Casual Optical Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build on your retail or customer service experience to become an expert in all things optical.

About the Role

We're currently hiring for a Casual Optical Assistant. Your role will involve a mix of customer service, product knowledge, and technical support, including:

  • Assisting customers with frame and lens selection
  • Supporting the optometrists with pre-testing procedures
  • Helping customers new to contact lenses
  • Managing product orders and general store tasks

No two days are the same—and you'll be part of a team that thrives on variety, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Required Availability:

  • Flexibility to work retail hours, which will include weekend shifts

What We're Looking For

  • A positive, reliable, and professional attitude
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organised in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to the team
  • Previous retail, healthcare, or optical experience is a plus, but not required (full training provided)
