Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Speech Therapist to join our team on a contractor basis. The successful candidate will work with both children and adults, providing assessment, intervention, and support under the NDIS framework. You will have autonomy over your schedule while contributing to a collaborative, supportive, and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality speech therapy services to NDIS participants, including children and adults.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication, speech, language, and swallowing needs.
  • Develop and deliver individualised therapy plans aligned with client goals and NDIS requirements.
  • Provide therapy sessions in the centre or at the school if required.
  • Document progress notes, reports, assessments, and recommendations in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, support coordinators, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Offer education and strategies to clients, families, and carers to reinforce therapy outcomes.
  • Maintain professional boundaries, ethical practice, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Hope Care Services policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
  • ABN (Australian Business Number) for contractor arrangements.
  • Valid Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • National Police Certificate
  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • NDIS orientation module, Hand Hygiene and infection control training (online, we will direct you to the correct resources)
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities (preferred).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver person-centred, culturally aware care.
  • Preferred bilingual - Arabic speaking
