Director, Olympic and Major Events Coordination Unit

As the Director, Olympics and Major Events Coordination Unit you will provide strategic, professional, and timely advice to leadership and executives on critical issues, priorities, and major projects associated with Queensland Health's commitments for Brisbane 2032 and other significant events. You will develop and lead a Queensland Health coordination framework encompassing all key Brisbane 2032 stakeholders within Queensland Health, including Hospital and Health Services. Additionally, you will implement necessary legislative and policy changes relevant to Queensland Health to support the successful delivery of Brisbane 2032.
Role fit:
Proven capability to provide effective leadership and management at a senior level within a service delivery organisation, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and diverse work programs.
Strong strategic, analytical, and innovative skills in program planning, management, and execution, with particular expertise in health planning and delivery for major events.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of policy development, public sector responsibilities, central agency functions, and government procedures, coupled with the ability to produce high-level policy advice and briefings.
