About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to individuals living with disabilities, including those experiencing mental health challenges. You will assist clients in achieving their personal goals, promoting independence, and participating actively in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual client needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support clients to engage in social, recreational, and community activities
- Implement care plans and monitor client progress
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
About You:
- Genuine desire to help others and give back to the community
- Experience in mental health and disability support is essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathetic, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transport preferred
