About RhED
Resourcing Health and Education in the Sex Industry (RhED)
is a statewide program of BHN that provides information, resources, advocacy and support for current and former Victorian sex workers. Operating since 2001 and staffed by current and former sex workers alongside other professionals, RhED promotes health, safety, human rights, and wellbeing within the sex industry.
About The Role
The RhED Pathways Case Manager works within the Pathways Program, a trauma-informed, person-centred case management service for current and former sex workers.
Role
In this role, you'll support clients to navigate health, social and legal systems, helping them pursue goals in areas such as:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Family and intimate partner violence
- Alcohol and other drugs
- Housing and financial support
- Legal and systemic advocacy
- Community connection
This position involves a mix of outreach and telehealth case management, providing practical and psychosocial support to clients experiencing multiple barriers to participation in the community.
What You'll Do
- Deliver one-on-one case management to support client goals and wellbeing.
- Provide trauma-informed and client-centred interventions.
- Build strong referral pathways with key health, legal, and social services.
- Maintain accurate records, case notes, and data in line with BHN policies.
- Contribute to program planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
About You
You're a compassionate and resilient professional with a commitment to social justice, harm reduction, and inclusion. You'll also bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Development, Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, Law, or related field.
- Experience providing case management and support to marginalised communities.
- Strong understanding of the social model of health and harm minimisation principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse clients.
- Ability to work autonomously in outreach and team-based settings.
Lived experience in the sex industry will be highly regarded.
