Lead Product Manager

At Safewill, we're reshaping how Australians approach end-of-life planning. As a Lead Product Manager focused on Growth, you'll sit at the intersection of marketing, product, design, and data - identifying and executing high-impact growth levers that improve conversion, LTV, retention, and overall user value.
This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role where you'll champion experimentation and data-led decision-making. You'll lead cross-functional squads from idea through to shipped product and be accountable for real, measurable results. Ideal for a product thinker who is both systems-minded and user-obsessed - and loves figuring out what makes people click.
What You'll LeadAs a Lead Product Manager (Growth), your goal is to drive step-change improvements in conversion, retention, and lifetime value. You'll lead a high-velocity squad that runs continuous experiments, uncovers growth levers, and builds segment-based experiences that meet our customers where they are.
Growth & Experimentation- Own our experimentation roadmap - form hypotheses, prioritise by impact, and run 2-3 experiments monthly
- Use quantitative (e.g. funnel, cohort, LTV) and qualitative (e.g. user testing, interviews) methods to uncover opportunities
- Measure and communicate what's working, what's not, and what we're learning
- Reimagine core journeys - e.g. signup, executor appointment, referral flows - to reduce friction and build trust
- Design and ship segment-based experiences based on user type, life stage, or channel context
- Balance UX and commercial goals - finding LTV gains that don't hurt CVR
- Work in lockstep with Growth, Legal, Design, and Engineering to align roadmaps and accelerate decision-making
- Build strong stakeholder trust through insight, velocity, and delivery
- Collaborate closely with the CPO to shape roadmap and share key learnings across the business
Within your first 6-12 months, you'll:
- Drive uplift in one or more core metrics: conversion, executor appointment rate, network effect, or LTV
- Run a high-cadence testing pipeline grounded in insight, not just ideas
- Ship a cohort-based product experience that improves retention or referrals
- Navigate commercial-UX tradeoffs and deliver monetisation improvements with minimal user friction
- Influence priorities through strategic insight, not just delivery
- 5+ years in product roles with a focus on B2C growth, experimentation, or performance
- Strong analytics capability - confident in SQL, Amplitude, Looker or similar tools
- Demonstrated success improving key product metrics (CVR, LTV, retention, engagement)
- Comfortable leading qualitative research to uncover deep user insights
- Thrive in ambiguity, with a bias to action and ownership
- Experience in legaltech, fintech, healthtech, or other trust-critical domains
- Pricing, packaging, or referral mechanic experience
- Experience designing flows for segmented or lifecycle-based audiences
We're rewriting how Australians deal with death - simplifying wills, and end-of-life services through beautifully simple tech. Our culture is high-speed, impact-obsessed, and all-in. You'll join a team that's building fast, working smart, and lifting each other every step of the way.
We live by our SAFE values:
- Speed: We move quickly with purpose
- All-in: We win as a team
- Find the Impact: We focus on what matters
- Elevate: We raise the bar, every day
We're building out our benefits as we scale, and for now you'll have access to:
- Equity into Safewill (ESOP)
- Free access to Updoc for your health + wellbeing
- Regular team events and company rituals to bring everyone together
