Job DescriptionTHE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced Lead Product Manager to own Lumi's product portfolio and deliver measurable business outcomes. This is a critical role responsible for translating company strategy into a clear, prioritised roadmap.
You will be a "player-coach," leading, mentoring, and developing our PMs while holding the bar on quality, speed, and impact. You'll partner closely with Engineering and Design to shape product strategy, unblock delivery, and uphold quality standards, all with a strong commercial lens.
As the Product lead, you will own and evolve Lumi's product operating model, lifting product capability through clear standards, coaching, and pragmatic governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership: Translate company strategy into a portfolio roadmap with explicit business outcomes. Prioritise ruthlessly using business impact, customer value, and cost of delay.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and develop PMs with differentiated coaching. Create decision frameworks that empower your team to move fast with clear guardrails.
- Outcome-Driven Execution: Adapt and enforce lightweight governance to track outcomes, risks, and accountability. Ensure PMs own delivery details, intervening only to unblock, align, or re-scope.
- Stakeholder & Executive Communication: Communicate product choices and trade-offs in business terms. Run crisp updates focused on impact, decisions, and risks.
- Data & Market Insight: Define and monitor OKRs/KPIs for your products and teams in alignment with the business objectives. Validate hypotheses through experiments and data, not just opinion.
THIS PERSON IS SOMEONE WITH
- Extensive Experience in Product Management with solid experience leading and coaching PMs.
- Portfolio Ownership A proven track record of owning a product portfolio and demonstrably lifting business metrics.
- Commercial Acumen A commercially minded and systemic thinker who can prioritise effectively under constraints.
- Leadership & Coaching A passion for developing PMs, delegating ownership, and holding a high bar for accountability and autonomy.
- Pragmatic Execution Strong product discovery practices coupled with a pragmatic, outcome-focused approach to delivery.
- Strategic Communication Exceptional stakeholder management skills and executive presence. You can frame choices, make trade-offs explicit, and write clear decision documents.
- High-Ownership Mindset Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced environment.
- Nice to Have Experience in lending, fintech, payments, B2B workflow products, or scaling internal risk/credit tooling.
PERKS & BENEFITS
Wellbeing: Free counselling, seasonal activities, Wellbeing Allowance, wellness room, flu shots
Work Life: Home Workspace Allowance, Purchased Leave, Parental Leave, Parental Flex Leave, Lumi Life Leave for challenging events, breastfeeding/expressing space
Social & Food: Monthly lunches, regular celebrations, stocked kitchen, beer & kombucha on tap, board games, ping pong, rooftop BBQs
