PMO Coordinator – Portfolio & Financial Management Improvement Program
A large Queensland Government department is seeking a PMO Coordinator to support the successful delivery of the Portfolio and Financial Management Improvement (PFMI) Program. This role will provide essential coordination, tracking, monitoring, and reporting across multiple projects within a high-profile transformation program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and execution of project plans in collaboration with project managers.
- Provide project administration and ensure consistent application of delivery frameworks.
- Monitor progress against milestones, risks, and deliverables, escalating issues as required.
- Manage project documentation, ensuring artefacts are accurate, accessible, and up to date.
- Promote PMO practices, guiding project teams on processes, tools, and templates.
- Maintain a central project repository, capturing lessons learned and best practices.
- Provide secretariat support for governance committees and program boards, including agendas, papers, minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare reports and briefings to support informed decision-making at senior and executive levels.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Experience providing project support, coordination, and administration in large programs.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, correspondence, and briefs.
- Proven ability to foster relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience supporting governance processes and program boards desirable.
