The Northern Geelong Rental Housing Co-operative (NGRHC) is seeking the services of an outstanding Tenancy Support employee to work three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday). Do you believe everyone has the right to stable housing and do you enjoy working with wonderful people? If so, NGRHC has a permanent part time role where you will support and enable our members in their tenancies. This is a vital role within our organisation, and the successful applicant will be relied on for a wide variety of tasks.
The Tenancy Support's primary responsibility is to ensure the effective operation of NGRHC tenancies and to deliver housing services to renter-members.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
· The effective and efficient operation of tenancy and property management for NGRHC in keeping with the requirements of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and amended Regulations
· Managing the ongoing development and maintenance of properties (66 in total)
· Fostering relationships
· Ensuring compliance
· Promote the development and cohesion of the NGRHC community.
Together with staff and highly functioning committees the mission of NGRHC remains to deliver long term affordable rental housing. We anticipate a start date of mid to late November.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
· At least three years experience in tenancy and property management
· Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel) and preferably MYOB.
· Experience using Chintaro tenancy database (preferred)
· Skills in reviewing and reporting on organisational performance to Government
· Sound knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act
· Agents Representatives Certificate or willing to obtain one
· Broad knowledge of managing property maintenance
· Preferable knowledge of the building industry and organising complex maintenance.
