Excel is a well-established and respected company in the plant hire and contracting industry. Due to continued growth, we're looking for qualified and experienced Plant Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our dedicated service team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery and/or heavy vehicles
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical faults
  • Carry out field service work as required
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of safety and quality

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
  • Confident in fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Solid understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • A proactive and reliable individual who takes pride in their work
  • Able to work independently and within a supportive team

Requirements

  • Relevant trade qualification (Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic)
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • White Card (Construction Induction)
  • Auto Air Conditioning or Auto Electrical - Preferred but not required
