We're looking for a motivated Assistant Department Manager to support daily operations in our busy Bayswater store. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for someone with retail or grocery experience who's ready to take on more responsibility, lead by example, and ensure the store runs smoothly day-to-day.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the Store Manager in day-to-day operations
  • Leading and mentoring team members on the shop floor
  • Overseeing stock control, merchandising, and store presentation
  • Serving customers and resolving issues to ensure great service
  • Ensuring safety, compliance, and smooth store operations

What we're looking for

  • Previous retail, grocery, or supermarket experience (leadership experience highly regarded)
  • Confident communicator who can guide and motivate a team
  • Reliable, hands-on, and able to take initiative
  • Physically capable of stock handling when required
  • Flexible with availability, including weekends or evenings
