Supervisor, Powder Coating Department

**Job Summary**:
The Powder Coating Department Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the powder coating department. This includes coordinating and leading a team of powder coating technicians, ensuring that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. The Supervisor will also be involved in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the powder coating operations. The pay rate for this position will be based on experience and will be discussed at interviews.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Team Leadership**:

- Lead and supervise a team of powder coating technicians.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- **Production Management**:

- Plan and organize daily production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize workflow and meet production goals.
- **Quality Control**:

- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure finished products meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and address any issues related to coating quality.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Enforce and promote a culture of safety within the department.
- Ensure that all team members follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:

- Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of powder coating equipment.
- Schedule regular equipment inspections and coordinate repairs or upgrades as needed.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Work closely with the materials management team to monitor and control inventory levels of powder coatings and related supplies.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Implement and monitor efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
- **Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.
- Provide regular updates on departmental performance and key metrics.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $42,760.00 - $125,038.82 per year

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
