Brief Position Description

The Feasibility Specialist (FS) is a key member of the Business Development team involved in ensuring Novotech is able to present the best country and site strategy to our clients for each new business opportunity.  Feasibility Specialists will also work directly with Project Managers to conduct post-award feasibilities to further refine country and site identification. Working closely with either the Client Operations Manager/ Director (pre-award) or Project Manager (post-award), the Feasibility Specialist leads all feasibility activities associated with the assigned project. In leading a feasibility, the Feasibility Specialist works directly with Country Managers and in-country feasibility teams across APAC, and with our alliance partners on global studies. 

Feasibility Specialists must demonstrate critical thinking skills, attention to detail and have the ability to work within tight timelines.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Graduate in a clinical or life sciences related field. Relevant experience/qualifications in allied professions may also be considered. Preferably at least three years' experience as a Clinical Research Associate. Previous feasibility and/or start up experience will be highly regarded. Must be able to communicate clearly, able to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Client Operations Manager/ Director and BDM/A on new business opportunities requiring pre-award feasibility, or PM on post-award feasibility.
  • Develop strong business relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and site staff throughout APAC region across multiple Therapeutic Areas.
  • Critically review available study documents, including but not limited to protocol, synopsis, RFP and executed work order (paid feasibility only) and work with Client Ops Manager/Director or PM to develop a strategy and/or country list to be included in the feasibility assessment.
  • Perform review of scientific literature, commercial databases, and internal tools to provide background information and text for feasibility strategy and reports.
  • Develop tailored study specific feasibility questionnaire utilising CTMS Feasibility module. Work directly with Novotech Country Managers and in-country feasibility teams to coordinate the feasibility assessment. Provide timelines, follow-up and guidance to the in-country teams as needed to ensure delivery of a high-quality and timely feasibility assessment.
  • Undertake critical review and analysis of responses received throughout the feasibility assessment. Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking and proactive approach in follow up of in-country feasibility teams and contacted sites to ensure best possible feasibility outcomes.
  • Utilise PowerBI reporting tools and provide regular updates to internal team.  Prepare updates for dissemination to the client and/or input feasibility results into proposal documentation as required.
  • Provide feasibility results and/or updates directly to clients on telecalls, in-person client meetings and bid defences as requested by BD and Project Manager.
  • Develop and write feasibility report for post-award (paid) feasibilities.
  • Participate in BD handover meetings to Novotech Operational team.
  • Preparation and collection of Confidential Disclosure Agreements.
  • Represent Novotech at external events (e.g. KOL engagement visits, site meetings, vendor meetings, professional association). Be mindful of the role of ambassador for Novotech when conducting day to day business.
  • Understand the responsibilities of Novotech as a service provider in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry and ensure all communications with external parties present a positive professional image of the company.
