The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a MARAM Assessment and Coordinator Supervisor to provide a critical role within Corrections Victoria
About the Business Unit
The MARAM Implementation Team in the Sentence Management Division of CV in the Department of Justice and Community Safety is responsible for the management, coordination and oversight of a range of family violence operational projects as part of MARAM reform implementation. These are integral to the effective response to family violence matters in the adult correctional system and plays a unique role in contributing to the Government's community safety agenda.
About the Role
Reporting to the MARAM Change Manager, the MAC Supervisor will play a key role in building the family violence capability of CV by contributing to the development and delivery of family violence projects and initiatives of strategic relevance to the adult correctional system.
The MAC Supervisor is responsible for a range of operational functions related to supporting MARAM implementation and management of FVISS in the prison system.
Some of your duties will include:
- Undertake workflow allocation and work management responsibilities including supervision of the MACs.
- Be accountable, monitor and report on MAC performance and support the MARAM Implementation Team to meet its objectives across several team projects and objectives.
- Undertake MARAM risk assessments and information sharing on a needs basis to support MAC work overflow.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Technical Expertise
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of the drivers/causes of family violence and family vulnerability, with a well-developed understanding of family violence dynamics and complexities.
- Demonstrated capacity or aptitude to work with clients who are difficult to engage individually and in group work settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced changing environment with ability to prioritise workflow management and allocations.
Qualifications
- There are no mandatory qualifications required for this role, however relevant government experience is desirable.
- A direct practice component such as case work, trauma-informed practice, disclosure management which address the dynamics of family violence, sexual assault, and child abuse is desirable.
- Experience working in a prison environment will be highly regarded.
