We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Partnerships Coordinator to join our world-class School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on a continuing basis. Play an integral role in the education of our future pharmacists and create an exceptional student experience
The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Partnerships Coordinator works under the broad direction of the School of Pharmacy WIL Partnerships Manager and liaises closely with academic staff in the School. The position has operational responsibility for the development of relationships with strategic placement providers and the management of student placements in the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) program. The role is both industry facing, and student facing.
Industry facing duties: You will support the maintenance of existing placements and liaise with relevant professionals and organisations to create new work integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for the School's undergraduate programs. You will establish written placement agreements and build and maintain strong, positive relationships with these partners.
Student facing duties: You will work with academic and administrative staff to ensure that undergraduate students are WIL ready, and then triage any student and provider concerns while on placement. The role will contribute to the overall student experience and the resultant success of the School's undergraduate programs.
About YouCompletion of a degree in a health, science, business or other relevant discipline with at least four years subsequent relevant experience in placements or relationship management; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Experience working with students on placement or liaising with universities regarding placements.
Ability to effectively manage and maintain relationships with new and existing placement providers using strong consultation and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of the demands and opportunities within a complex and multidisciplinary environment. Understanding of the profession of pharmacy is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to critically review processes and policies, making recommendations for improvement.
Strong project management and organisational skills in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders in the health and tertiary education sectors.
