About the role:

As the Manager Balance Sheet, you'll contribute to the strategic management of TASCORP's longer term asset and liability portfolios. This role combines portfolio oversight, data-driven decision-making, and cross-team collaboration to support the corporation strategic objectives, while contributing towards continuous improvement and innovation. The opportunity will drive operational excellence through:

  • Managing financial markets business, through the issuance and trading of TASCORP debt, hedging interest rate and liquidity risks with debt securities and derivatives, including swaps and futures.
  • Managing TASCORP's liquidity, funding and longer-term asset portfolios.
  • Contributing to the strategic goals of the borrowing, client lending and funds management portfolios by providing research and market intelligence to the wider business on strategies that are relevant to treasury risk management and TASCORP's funding and issuance strategy.
  • Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with TASCORP's clients.
  • Managing and cultivating relationships with all other relevant stakeholders.
  • Possessing a continuous improvement mindset, and;
  • Upholding risk awareness and compliance standards.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a debt portfolio management role (highly desirable).
  • Technical knowledge of, and a passion for financial markets (fixed income, liquidity).
  • Over 5 years of relevant financial markets experience.
  • Excellent analytic skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, work effectively to tight deadlines, and have continuous improvement mindset.
  • Risk management and assessment skills.
  • Sound knowledge of treasury and markets systems (e.g. Quantum, Bloomberg) will be highly regarded.
