Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Organisational Designer to join our clients team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future structure of the government divisions and branches. This position is focused on leading the review and design of organisational structures, functional accountabilities, and role designs to ensure alignment with strategic goals and operating model principles.

This is a design-focused role that requires expertise in organisational structure design, making sure that the future state of our divisions is aligned with the company's overarching objectives.

Contract Summary

Rate: Based on experience

Duration: 6 months initially with potential for extensions

Work model: Hybrid (mostly work from home)

Location: Sydney

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and review of divisional and branch-level operating models and organisational structures.
  • Create and map current and future functional accountabilities, ensuring alignment with organisational design principles.
  • Develop organisational design options and structural models that support strategic goals.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed organisational structure charts, ensuring accuracy in current and future state alignment, and resolving any anomalies.
  • Ensure consistency across the organisation in the approach to organisational and role design.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and key stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose organisational design solutions.
  • Provide quality assurance for role descriptions, job evaluation processes, and ensure alignment with job families and role capabilities.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in organisational design, with a strong emphasis on creating and restructuring organisational structures.
  • Expertise in developing operating models, functional accountabilities, and organisational structure charts.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • A keen eye for detail and consistency in the development and governance of organisational structures and roles.
  • Previous experience working in large, complex organisations with a focus on organisational transformation or change management.
