The Company

Multi Award winning builder developer that has an outstanding reputation in the industry are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join one of their latest luxury apartment development.

They are a tier 2 builder which pride themselves - on sound business practices and highly stringent ethical standards.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide support, coordination and advice of HSE practices, systems and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments, HSE audits and inspections.
  • Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of site safety documentation.
  • Implement occupational health and safety procedures based on approved company policies in the areas of health, safety.
  • Maintaining records of all HSE requirements at the work place, in accordance with legislative and company requirements.
  • Conduct return to work coordinator activities
  • Coordinate and conduct investigations to find the of causes and identify mitigation strategies to prevent re-occurrence, which may include the liaison with regulatory officials.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
  • 5-10 years HSE experience on apartment projects.
  • Experience in WH&S/HSE management techniques and tools
  • Strong knowledge of applicable safety legislation, codes, and Australian Standards
  • Ability to plan, organise, and supervise HSE operations including conducting and interpreting audits, risk assessments, and reviews
  • Proficient using Procore or Aconex
  • Ability to build and maintain healthy relationships with staff, contractors, and customers
  • Experience in dynamic environments and the ability to navigate and manage complex issues and problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
