About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join us on a flexible part-time basis, ideally 2-3 days per week. You'll play a key role in shaping our estimating capability from the ground up, developing internal processes while supporting competitive bids across our expanding energy infrastructure portfolio. This is a perfect opportunity for:

  • A seasoned estimator seeking reduced hours, or
  • Someone currently working part-time wanting to take on extra meaningful work

In the role you will:

  • Develop and maintain pricing systems, templates, and unit rate databases
  • Deliver accurate cost estimates – Concept through to competitive tender inputs.
  • Work closely with engineering and commercial teams on bid strategy and pricing structures.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, supplier quotes and risk allowances.
  • Contribute to lessons learned to improve future bid competitiveness.
  • Provide clear commercial insights around margins, procurement assumptions and value optimisation.

About You

  • Estimating experience in energy, utilities or infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge across civil, mechanical and electrical construction scopes is essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of EPC / EPCM project delivery.
  • Proficiency in estimating tools and Excel cost modelling.
  • Ability to operate autonomously and build processes from scratch.
  • Background in BESS, gas turbines, solar or grid connection projects are desirable.
