We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced OPFOR Air Planner to join the Opposing Force (OPFOR) team supporting the Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) Joint Collective Training (J73) Directorate. This role is central to developing and executing realistic, high-fidelity air campaigns that test and strengthen ADF and allied force readiness.

What You Can Expect

The Headquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC) Joint Collective Training (J73) Opposing Force (OPFOR) Air Planner develops OPFOR air campaigns and then fights them in Command Post Exercise (CPX) execution. The OPFOR planners report to the Director J73 and support the Director J73 OPFOR and the OPFOR Operations Officer. What You Bring

The following requirements apply to this position:

Essential:

  • Former RAAF O3-O5 Pilot, Weapons System Officer, Air Operations Controller or Intelligence Officer
  • Combined, Joint planning experience at operational level HQ on operations
  • Posting experience at HQJOC or at Component Command level
  • Top Secret (PV) Clearance

Desirable:

  • Combined/Joint planning experience on operations
  • Experience as a White Cell planner in JOC exercises and/or JED experimentation/wargame activities
  • Official Passport
  • A2 Visa
