We have a great opportunity available for a Carpentry Apprentice to join our team

Job tasks and responsibilities

  1. Construction of commercial fitouts, refurbishment, external cladding, aluminium shopfronts, feature joinery and other various building works.
  2. Follow, understanding & implementing Parliament work process & systems, set out by tradesman onsite.
  3. Use hand tools, e.g. hammers, chisels, hand saws, screwdrivers, measuring tapes and levelling devices etc.
  4. Use power tools, e.g. electric/battery drills, power saws, routers, sanders, planners, laser levelling devices, pneumatic (air) tools, e.g. nail guns
  5. Follow established policies and procedures for Protective Personal Apparel (PPE)
  6. Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment
  7. Follow appropriate manual handling techniques for manual tasks including lifting and moving items
  8. Complete appropriate documentation and recording information on computerised programs
  9. Carry out theory and practical assessment tasks in a building site/training centre
  10. Communicate and interact with others in workplace and trade school environments, may include customer interaction
  11. Apprentices are expected to be available during required working hours for both work placements and trade school/training centre environments and make their own safe travel arrangement
