Position Purpose
The Finance Manager role is a key leadership position responsible for driving the financial integrity, operational excellence and strategic insight of City Fertility Group's finance function. With oversight of financial reporting, treasury, compliance and systems, the role ensures that financial information is accurate, timely, and aligned with both statutory requirements and business needs. The position plays a critical role in enabling informed decision-making, optimising financial performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across City Fertility Group, both locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the month-end close process and ensure the accuracy of financial and management reporting
Oversee compliance obligations including BAS, IAS, FBT, and payroll tax
Manage audit and tax relationships, working closely with key stakeholders to meet all statutory requirements
Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate external audit processes
Maintain effective revenue recognition processes and support billing system accuracy across clinics
Assist in preparing board reporting packs and contribute to business performance insights
Provide day-to-day leadership and mentoring to a team of Finance Officers, a Financial Accountant and Payroll
Support continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes, and controls
Collaborate with international teams and contribute to group-level reporting and alignment
Key Criteria
Bachelor of Commerce/Accounting or equivalent, along with a recognised financial accounting qualification (CPA or CA). Proven expertise in financial reporting, taxation and compliance, with a strong understanding of Australian and international accounting standards and legislation.
Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in leading and managing finance teams, with a track record of building capability, fostering engagement and driving high performance. Ability to mentor and coach team members, promote a positive team culture and manage change effectively.
Proven ability to oversee end-to-end financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, cashflow management and financial analysis. Experience in preparing monthly reporting packs and supporting strategic decision-making through evidence-based financial insights.
Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and improving financial systems, policies and procedures. Strong understanding of risk and internal control frameworks, with a commitment to continuous improvement and compliance with health industry legislation and corporate governance standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including international teams. Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness to support collaboration across diverse teams.
