We're looking for an experienced ParaBroker/Loan writer to join our team in Port Melbourne. This is a great opportunity to work in a newly established and growing boutique mortgage and finance firm that values relationships, culture, and long-term growth. The competitive salary of AUD 90,000–AUD 100,000 per year + Super + Referral Commissions is based on the candidate's experience.

You'll work directly with the directors and team in a collaborative environment where your input is valued. You're not treated like a number. You're part of the bigger picture, contributing to a team that genuinely cares about clients and each other.

Applicant must be residing in VIC

• Review client scenario notes and supporting documents to understand client goals, financials, and loan requirements.
• Conduct servicing assessments using appropriate calculators.
• Research lender products and policies via Quickli or similar platforms to identify potential obstacles or policy exceptions required.
• Shortlist 3–5 lenders that are policy-appropriate, competitively priced, and aligned with client needs.
• Prepare clear product comparisons and written recommendation summaries for brokers to use in client meetings.
• Manage the loan process from start to finish, including structuring, servicing, submission, and settlement.
• Prepare and lodge applications using BrokerEngine + and Apply online.
• Order property valuations where required and update pricing based on market movement.
• Provide timely updates to clients regarding the progress of their applications.
• Liaise with lenders, referral partners, and directors.
• Assist with preparation of Annual Review reports for existing clients, including rate comparisons and refinance options.
• Ensure all compliance and documentation is completed accurately.
• Support brokers to deliver a smooth and informed client experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Parabroker, Loan Writer, or similar role at a Mortgage Broking firm.
• Strong understanding of serviceability, lending policies, credit policies, and the full loan application process.
• Have experience in Residential, Commercial and Construction lending.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent research and critical thinking capabilities.
• Strong written communication skills — ability to summarise complex products clearly.
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and aggregator platforms ( BrokerEngine+ is a bonus).
• Clear communicator with a customer-first mindset always.
