The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Facilities Coordinator (Hard Services) to join the Facilities team at the Kids Research Institute Australia. This role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by managing contractors, maintaining assets, and supporting the critical work of our research and Bioresources teams.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will contribute to the safety, compliance, and operational integrity of our facilities, while providing excellent service to staff, contractors, and stakeholders.

Some of your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage contractor inductions, compliance, and on-site works to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Support the Bioresources team by maintaining plant and equipment, overseeing installations, and ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
  • Oversee hard services asset management including registers, reporting, and lifecycle planning.
  • Undertake minor repairs, maintenance, and preventative checks across campus facilities.
  • Provide administrative support, reporting, and contractor liaison for the Facilities team.

Based at Perth Children's Hospital, this is a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract.

The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following

  • Demonstrated experience in contractor management across a range of services.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and urgent requests effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Knowledge of contractor or facilities management systems (or ability to learn quickly).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Current C Class driver's licence and the physical ability to undertake manual repairs and maintenance.
