About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to assist a female participant located in Burpengary, QLD

The participant sustained a spinal cord injury as a result of a motor vehicle accident and also has a pre-existing diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.

Current Support Hours:

  • Wednesday evenings: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Sunday mornings: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
  • Sunday evenings: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Please note: Hours are expected to increase to support the participant 7 days a week, so flexibility and long-term availability are highly valued.

This role is available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal care and hygiene support
  • Medication management
  • Manual handling, including transfers and hoist use
  • Complex bowel and catheter management
  • Community access and participation in health and rehabilitation activities

Pay Rates

  • Day shift: $42.50/hour
  • Sunday shift: $76.50/hour

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
  • Australian Driver Licence
  • Current Police Check
  • First Aid & CPR certification
  • Current Blue Card
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Completion of Effective Communication Module (NDIS)
  • Third-party compulsory car insurance
  • Two professional references
  • A reliable, proactive, and positive approach
