About the Role:
As a Supervisor at BOOM, you will play a key role in managing the daily operations of the team and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of lifting and rigging projects. You will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating resources, and ensuring that all work is completed according to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations. This role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, along with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of lifting, rigging, and transport services.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of skilled workers, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, industry regulations, and safety requirements.
- Monitor and report on the progress of projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and resources.
- Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks, ensuring team members are trained and informed on safe work practices.
- Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of services.
- Identify and resolve operational issues and provide solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, incidents, and safety reports.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisor role within the crane hire, logistics, mining, construction, or related industries.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- A strong commitment to safety and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming operational challenges.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in lifting, rigging, or safety (e.g., High-Risk Work License, First Aid, etc.).
- Previous experience with mobile cranes and other heavy machinery is preferred.
