MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT RESTRICTED TO

Stock control for Kitchen operationsQuality control of meals being served to customersBack of house rostering and staff managementDeveloping menu offerings in conjunction with managementEnsure kitchen meets all required health, safety and other regulationsEstimating food and labour costs, and ordering food suppliesMonitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationDiscussing food preparation issues with Managers and other kitchen team membersDemonstrating techniques and advising on cooking proceduresPreparing and cooking foodExplaining and enforcing hygiene regulationsMay select and train other team membersAny other tasks deemed suitable by management

EXPERIENCE

Previous chef/cook experience, Cert III/IV and 2 years work experience or at least 3 years relevant experience (ideal but not necessarily required)

PERFORMANCE GOALS

To be defined with management on an ongoing basis
