Qualified Baker – Bakers Delight Mudgee

  • Ability to be available to work a flexible roster, which will include shifts from 2 AM to 10:00AM.

Bakers Delight Mudgee is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and energetic Qualified Baker to join the Bakery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and production of quality bakery products to Bakers Delight. Training will be provided for BDH recipe.
  • Inspect equipment and premises before production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Evaluate raw materials and weigh ingredients to maintain quality standards.
  • Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould, and shape dough and pastry goods.
  • Prepare pastry fillings for various baked products.
  • Operate machines for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.
  • Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine optimal baking times.
  • Coordinate the forming, baking, cooling, and de-panning of bread, rolls, and pastry batches.
  • Glaze buns and pastries and decorate cakes with icing or cream.
  • Clean, grease, and empty baking trays, tins, and equipment after use.

To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria.

  • Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 2 am)
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.
  • Portray a positive attitude
  • Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor
  • Abide by company policies and procedures at all times
  • Train, develop and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department
  • Have an eye for detail

Applicants with Minimum of 1 or more years of experience or Certificate III in Baking, as a Baker will have advantage for this role.
