Role Summary:

  • Position: Workplace Safety and Emergency Response Trainer/Assessor
  • Location: Perth, Western Australia
  • Type: Full time
  • Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and coordinate training using methods that progressively instil knowledge and skills.
  • Plan training and assessment sessions to ensure the required resources are available.
  • Conduct assessments according to established strategies and principles.
  • Engage in professional development and maintain the Haz-Ed professional development register.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute to assessment moderation and validation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in delivering workplace safety and emergency response training.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
  • Experience in assessing competency in a vocational training environment.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with safety management systems and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience delivering training in high-risk environments (e.g., mining, oil and gas, construction).
