Role Summary:
- Position: Workplace Safety and Emergency Response Trainer/Assessor
- Location: Perth, Western Australia
- Type: Full time
- Salary: Competitive salary based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and coordinate training using methods that progressively instil knowledge and skills.
- Plan training and assessment sessions to ensure the required resources are available.
- Conduct assessments according to established strategies and principles.
- Engage in professional development and maintain the Haz-Ed professional development register.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts and contribute to assessment moderation and validation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in delivering workplace safety and emergency response training.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
- Experience in assessing competency in a vocational training environment.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with safety management systems and risk management frameworks.
- Experience delivering training in high-risk environments (e.g., mining, oil and gas, construction).
