About the role
Goondir Health Services' is seeking a passionate, highly organised and detail-oriented individual with experience as a Finance Support Officer to join our team in Dalby, QLD. This full-time role will be responsible for contributing to achieving the Organisation's goals and objectives by supporting the finance manager and finance officer of the Organisation, with a focus on Indigenous and multicultural services.
What you'll be doing

The position is accountable to ensure that financial information is recorded accurately and efficiently, while supporting the Finance Manager (FM) and Finance Officer (FO).

The main responsibilities of this role include assistance with Payroll, timely administration of Accounts Payable, reconciliations completed, and obligations paid e.g. superannuation.

This position is dynamic in that it will evolve to assist the wider Finance Team to undertake reporting, along with broader financial team duties when the FM or FO is absent from the Organisation.

The candidate must always demonstrate high levels of professionalism and integrity, be an innovative thinker and apply high moral and ethical standards to ensure confidentiality is maintained.

Assist Finance Manager with Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) Returns; PAYG Summary Statement reconciliation; purchasing; bank reconciliations; maintenance of the Assets Register; insurance renewals/claims (e.g. Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, etc.); and general duties of the finance section of the Organisation;

Assist Finance Manager to ensure all insurance policies are current, relevant and consistent with the requirements of the Funding Agreements and Company requirements; manage Insurance and claims processing (i.e. Public Liability, Property, Equipment, Vehicles, Personal, Indemnity, Workers Compensation etc.);

Manage Motor Vehicle acquisitions; disposals; ensure contracts are recorded on LogiQC system with all compliances scheduled ie RACQ membership, Fuel Card, E-Toll, servicing and maintenance;

Recording of all deposits / income into XERO and responsible for monthly debtor accounts and billing for all sites;
What we're looking for

Demonstrate a high level of Financial and Administration Nous.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office, excel, asset manager pro and XERO.

Have a high level data analytical and interpretation skills with professional graphical presentation.

Effective communication skills, particularly in negotiating and achieving KPIs.

A grounded understanding of Cultural Awareness/Safety/Practice & an understanding of the Organisations Mission, Vision, Values and Objectives.

Ability to undertake training/ professional development to maintain professional knowledge and skills, as detailed in the Training and Professional Development Plan and as otherwise identified.

Ability to participate in Organisational in-service sessions or external professional development or workshops.

Strong community engagement skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Elders and community leaders.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Deep understanding of Indigenous and multicultural perspectives, protocols and practices.

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the evolving needs of the organisation and the communities we serve
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Relevant Tertiary Education i.e. Finance Degree/Diploma with similar experience or skills in a similar role

A current Queensland C class open driver's licence

A current Police Check
-
CPR Certification.
