Business Development Manager

This is a new business development role — full stop. You'll be responsible for building pipeline across Queensland, focusing on mid-to-enterprise fleets that haven't yet adopted this globally trusted safety tech.
There's existing brand awareness, some regional traction, and a strong product-market fit. But your remit is clear: go out and win new logos.
What you'll be sellingAI-driven safety tech that combines in-cab alerts, video telematics, and real-time analytics — helping fleet operators reduce collisions, protect drivers, and cut costs.
It's already installed in over 100,000 vehicles worldwide — and now it's time to scale further in Queensland.
The roleThis isn't an account management gig. You'll spend your time identifying, engaging, and converting net-new accounts.
- Long sales cycles (typically 9–12 months).
- Complex deals with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong internal support from marketing, technical and delivery teams.
- Big-ticket wins and uncapped commissions.
- You prefer creating opportunities over waiting for leads.
- You're structured, persistent, and comfortable managing a long, multi-threaded sales process.
- You can link safety to risk reduction and ROI in a tight, compelling pitch.
- You want to sell something with real-world impact — not just features and functions.
By month 3: Territory mapped. 300–500 key accounts ID'd. Discovery meetings happening.
By month 6: Solid pipeline in play. Live pilots running. Key stakeholders engaged.
By month 12: First major wins closing. New verticals emerging.
- A proven track record in new business development — ideally in B2B tech, fleet, transport, logistics, or safety-related sectors.
- Enough experience to manage complex cycles with confidence and credibility.
- Strong communication skills and commercial instincts.
- Self-motivation and accountability — this isn't a hand-held role.
- Uncapped earning potential with real six-figure upside.
- A product that's already delivering results — and ready to scale.
- Strong support across marketing, systems, and delivery.
- A Queensland territory with plenty of room to grow.
