Mechanical Fitter/Welder Needed

Marleston Pty Ltd is seeking to employ an experienced mechanical fitter/welder to join our team based at Mile End.

We need someone who can hit the ground running - so a minimum of one year's welding experience is a must.

Duties will be varied and cover all aspects of concrete manufacturing plant, equipment, and transit mixer repairs and service including fault finding & diagnosis, welding & fabrication.

Responsibilities:

· Fit, assemble, and install mechanical components and machinery.

· Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and systems.

· Perform welding tasks, including MIG and arc welding, to fabricate and repair metal structures and components.

· Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with machinery and tools.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a mechanical fitter and welder, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

· Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.

· Familiarity with mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Welding experience
  • Car licence
  • Have flexibility and a cooperative team attitude.
  • Be organised, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.

This is initially offered as a casual position with full-time hours, with the opportunity for permanency and long-term employment for the right candidate.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
