About the role

Quirindi Engineering is seeking a talented Welder/Fabricator and a Fitter/Machinist to join our growing team; if you fit either role we would love to hear from you. We are a local family-owned business offering fabrication, welding, machining and hydraulics, as well as a retail store selling parts and spares, and crane hire.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete a range of steel fabrication and welding tasks
  • Operate workshop machinery and equipment including guillotine, press brake, lathe, milling machine
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

Requirements

  • Trade qualification - Cert III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Welding) or Mechanical Trade (Fitting Machining)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Competency in steel fabrication processes and skill in operating metalworking machinery
  • Experience in hydraulics desirable but not essential
  • C6 Crane or dogman licence desirable but not essential
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative
  • A commitment to workplace safety and a collaborative, team-oriented approach

What we offerA supportive work environment with a wide variety of interesting projects and tasks. Positions are full time, Monday to Friday day-work roster. In addition to a competitive base salary, regular overtime is available if desired.
