WE ARE HIRING -
Dealers / Team Assistant Private Wealth Sydney

Due to the increasing growth and success in our Private Wealth business we are currently seeking a Dealers / Team Assistant to support a team of experienced and successful Senior Investment Advisers in our Sydney office.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administration support to advisers and clients
  • Responding to client queries and requests both written and verbal in a professional and timely matter
  • Open and maintain client accounts (equities, international, SMAs etc) and ensure all information is accurate and meets minimum regulatory obligations
  • Assist in preparing and sending client reports, portfolio reviews and presentations.
  • Prepare deceased estates, change of trustee and stock transfer documentation
  • Assisting with the acceptance and allocation of corporate actions such as placements and new issues.
  • Coordinate IPO allocations and applicable client documentation
  • Liaise with back office and share registries regarding client queries
  • Ensuring trades are settled, monitoring daily reports.
  • Providing share price quotes
  • Arrange and assist with CHESS and sponsorship, off-market, broker to broker and issuer to CHESS transfer of client documents
  • Coordinate client seminars, conferences and presentations
  • Maintain account files and undertake regular follow-up on missing documents

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • 2-3 years' experience in an DA/support/operations role within financial services
  • Experience in a stockbroking environment is highly desirable
  • RG146 accreditation or the desire to complete this
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and display resilience
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team
  • Professional and positive attitude towards work & ability to build rapport quickly
  • Flexibility to respond to changing priorities
  • A degree qualification in Finance, Business, Economics or related is desirable
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong excel, word, powerpoint and outlook skills
  • A keen interest in the financial markets
